Consular Processing (CP)，说白了，就是NVC根据申请人提供的信息，来决定哪个使馆consulate来签发你们赴美领取绿卡的签证。

在你的140表格里， Page 2，Part 4，Processing Information。

USCIS是根据这里您所填写的信息，是申请在美国调整身份，Adjustment of Status (AOS)，也就是常说的在美国境内申请485；还是通过境外的美国使馆来申请签证来美国，Consular Processing （CP），也就是常说的使馆程序申请赴美签证领取绿卡。

如果您在上述140表格部分填写的是Consular Processing （CP），140申请被批准后，您的case会被USCIS送往国务院签证中心，the Department of State （DOS) National Visa Center (NVC)， NVC会给您发通知。

如果您的申请类别有排期，而且排期还未到，那么NVC的一页纸的通知也会写的很清楚：排期未到，谨慎行事。

如果您的申请类别没有排期，那么NVC的通知会提供详细情况，让您缴费并及时递交其他材料。
